As the Maternity Data Manager, you will be expected to support withmaternity data analysis, data quality and reporting providing information to the Management Team and Department to assist in operational and strategic planning. You will work alongside our Digital Midwife to ensure the development of systems to meet the criteria for clinical audit and research purposes.

Main duties of the job

Maternity Data Manager - Band 6

The post will close once we receive a sufficient number of applications.

AIM OF THE ROLE:

  • Responsible for maintaining the Cerner PAS and Maternity systems
  • Generating the monthly maternity statistics by extracting accurate data and populating the in-house Maternity Dashboard and the SWL dashboard and ensuring they are ready for reporting on in a timely fashion
  • Audit the processes involved with data capture and the management and assurance of performance data (required both locally and nationally) to ensure that processes are fit for purpose
  • Assisting with data collection for both internal and external stakeholders involved in undertaking audits
  • Be responsible for the 100% compliance of data collections, maintaining collection database for Payment by Results to ensure all monies due to the Trust is documented for the Finance department
  • Dealing with Freedom of Information requests relevant to maternity.
  • Responsible for data quality, identifying data quality issues and responsible for fixes and working with system suppliers to make improvements to the current digital solutions
  • Support Cerner training for new staff
  • Supporting staff with cerner millennium issues over the phone
  • Generating NHS numbers
