Community Neuro Team Band 6 Occupational Therapist

We are looking for an individual with neuro experience and a keen interest in neuro rehabilitation to join the community neuro rehab team in Croydon.

The successful candidate will provide a range of specialized rehabilitation OT input, to patients with neurological conditions, enabling them to maximise their independence. The post holder is an autonomous practitioner but will work under the supervision of a Band 7 Occupational therapist and will be expected to work in a variety of settings including Broad Green Centre, the patient's own home and other community settings , as required.

Croydon provides a unique experience to work as part of an Integrated care organisation. The Integrated Neuro Therapy Service provides high quality rehabilitation for patients across the whole pathway and we are constantly looking to see how we can improve the patient experience.

Main duties of the job

Croydon Community Neuro Rehab Team:

This multidisciplinary team is based at the Broad Green Centre, providing centre based or home/work based therapy

The successful candidate will be supervised and supported by an experienced Band 7 OT and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in neuro rehabilitation. Essential

  • BSc or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC Registered as OT

Desirable

  • Postgraduate training relevant to neuro

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING

Essential

  • Knowledge of a range of OT models and demonstrate being up to date with trends and developments in OT neuro rehab
  • Awareness of clinical guidelines in neuro rehabilitation

Experience

  • Postgraduate, incorporating experience in a variety of relevant core specialities, including stroke rehab
