Senior Pharmacy Technician - Specialist (Dispensary) Band 5 (Permanent)

We are looking for highly motivated individual to join our busy, friendly pharmacy department at Croydon University Hospital.

Main duties of the job
Main duties of the post include
- To provide support to the Pharmacy Teams in the Dispensary.
- You will take part in audit activities, staff Training (PS Course) and in QI projects.
- You will also be required to co-ordinate work flow in the dispensary and take a lead role where necessary.
- You will assist in ACPT checking and in the training and development of staff you line manage.
- You will also be responsible for understanding, developing and scheduling plans and assist in writing procedures. For further information, please read job description.

- Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPHC
- Must Hold ACPT qualification
Desirable
- Qualified D32 / D33 or NVQ Assessor
- Significant relevant pharmaceutical experience
- JAC & Audit/ Quality Improvement Project
Experience

- Significant and proven post qualification experience in hospital pharmacy
- Proven ward based experience (minimum six months or more)
- Education and Training of Pharmacy Staff
- Supervision of Staff
- Top-up/distribution service
Desirable
- Knowledge of JAC computer system
- Working in a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge and Understanding

- Dispensing experience including patient counselling
