Specialist Cardiac Physiologist Band 6
Vacancy: 1 x full time (37.5 hours per week)
Applications are invited for a highly motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join the Cardiology Department at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work primarily at a newly built Community Diagnostic Centre in New Addington and at both Croydon University Hospital and Purley War Memorial Hospital on a rotational basis.
A complement of 9 Cardiologists is supported by a team of cardiac physiologists, assistant practitioners, specialist registrars and specialist nurses along with a dedicated clerical team.
A full range of non-invasive and invasive procedures are performed within the department and there is also a well established pacemaker, ICD and CRT implant and follow-up service.
The main duties of the successful candidate will be to perform non-invasive Cardiology diagnostic procedures and perform Ambulatory ECG analysis. There will also be an opportunity for training to work towards British Society of Echocardiography or British Heart Rhythm Society Accreditation if not already held.

Main duties of the job
To work in co-operation with the Principal Cardiac Physiologist as part of the team that provides Cardiac Physiology Services within Croydon Health Services NHS Trust in a timely, efficient, high quality, equitable and cost effective manner.
The post holder will be a specialist in the field of Ambulatory ECG analysis with experience in all other areas of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing.
In addition to clinical duties, he/ she will have designated managerial/ educational responsibilities as the needs of the service dictate.
This is a very busy and demanding role and the successful candidate should have previous experience of working in a Cardiology department.
