Job summary
An exciting opportunity to join our Nephrology Team here at Croydon University Hospital.
This is an advert for a full-time fixed term 1 year appointment, with the view to moving to a substantive post.Applications from candidates who are interested in a part-time position will be considered.
The post holder will work with the existing Consultants to develop the service, in particular, to support the other consultants in delivering a high quality service, with an opportunity to develop a sub-specialty and further enhance renal services locally.
Main duties of the job
Daily review of the ward doctors, a daily review of all new patients coming to the ward, including early review of any unpost-taked, daily MDT chairing to expedite safe and well planned discharges, all patient twice weekly full ward rounds, weekly clinics, daily (sometimes more often) review of renal referrals. Teaching and training junior doctors, medical students and nurses.

- MB BS or equivalent Membership of the Royal College of Physician (MRCP) or equivalent.
- Inclusion in the specialist register for Nephrology or equivalent and General (Internal) Medicine, or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview or eligible for CESR application.
- Name on Specialist Register on date of taking appointment. Full registration with the GMC.
