Radiology Department Assistant Band 2
Our friendly Radiology department is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the team. The successful candidates will work across department alongside radiographers, sonographers, radiologists and nursing staff. We welcome females to apply in order to maintain a balanced workforce and because we require candidates to act as a chaperones.
The successful candidate will be expected to rotate through all aspects of the Imaging department at Croydon. At time, they will also be expected to rotate through the Imaging department at Purley Memorial Hospital and our new upcoming community diagnostic centre in New Addington.

This role involves assisting with all aspects of Radiology examinations which includes preparing patients for examinations, helping to position patients for examinations, assisting with interventional procedures as well as having knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology.The role is patient focused so good communication skills are essential to assist patients, as well as demonstrating care and empathy to patients who are unwell or distressed. The post holder will contribute to the provision of a high standard of care for patients and carry out some duties unaided, in accordance with Trust/Directorate policy, at the discretion of qualified staff.
