Highly Specialist Early Years Lead Children's Occupational Therapist
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Early Years OT to join our well established and innovative Children's OT service that combines the traditional roles of both health and social services Children's OT.
We are based in a modern purpose built Children's Development Centre (CDC) promoting MDT working and shared working spaces.

Main duties of the job
You will be leading the Early Years OT service by reviewing current evidence based practice, upskilling staff members and reviewing existing pathways.
The service provides OT input to children with a wide range of disabilities working across a range of settings including; in their homes, nurseries, schools and respite placements within Croydon.Along with clinical work the post holder will also supervise more junior members of the team and OT students on placements and assist with and lead on service developments. Regular supervision and support will be provided

- OT Degree/Diploma
- HCPC registration
- Post-qualification paediatric training
- Evidence of self-directed learning and CPD
- Bobath/Neurodevelopmental training
- Postural management training

Knowledge and Understanding
Essential
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of OT skills in relation to children with disabilities
- Excellent clinical knowledge and well established OT assessment and treatment skills
- Commitment to service development
- Good knowledge of children's normal developmental milestones and experience of working with developmental checklists
- Good knowledge of Neurodevelopment
- Good knowledge and understanding of 24 hour postural management

- Experience of providing OT services a universal, targeted and specialist levels of intervention
