An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of experienced musculoskeletal advanced practitioners (MSK AP) as part of a redesigned & expanding Community Integrated Musculoskeletal(CIMSK) Service.

We will consider offering as a band 7 development role opportunity with a 6 month review for the right candidate.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic MSK clinician who is proactive and forward thinking to take on a general musculoskeletal advanced practice role. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication, clinical and organisational skills.

The CIMSK Service provides triage and assessment for spinal and peripheral joint MSK conditions that have not responded to first line conservative treatment/management. The team of MSK APswill work both independently and alongside orthopaedic and musculoskeletal consultants in community and hospital locations throughout the London borough of Croydon to deliver highquality, evidence-based care. This includes electronic, virtual and face-to-face assessments and triage, including requesting diagnostic investigations, and, as appropriate, injecting, non-medical prescribing and utilising diagnostic ultrasound.

Main duties of the job

As a key member of the MDT you will work closely with Orthopaedic, Rheumatology, Radiology, Pain Team and MSK consultants and the wider MSK community including GPs, FCPs and physiotherapists. There will also be the prospect of involvement in the Trust's Virtual Fracture Clinic Service.

You will be involved in the set-up and implementation of the CIMSK Service and it is vital to have the desire to develop and improve the service and have the ability to bring about change.

Support and training will be provided by our experienced MSK team and secondary care consultants. You will be actively involved in our in-service training programme, regular regional AP CPD and Trust Clinical Governance meetings. There is the opportunity to work towards Health Education England Advanced Practice Accreditation. Support in obtaining post-graduate qualifications in injection therapy, non-medical prescribing and diagnostic ultrasound will be considered, depending on service needs and personal development plans.
