Job summary
Working collaboratively with the Medical & Dental Education Manager, the Dental Training Programme Director, the dental training leads, the post holder will co-ordinate the development and implementation of all dental training programmes, including but not limited to dental foundation, dental simulation and continuing professional development . The role will involve coordinating education programmes for relevant dental posts and trainees, supporting the required assessment processes and providing administrative support to the local dental training leads and Training programme director. This is a relatively new role and the post holder will be required to actively develop the role and alter its' scope as appropriate.
The post holder will be responsible for providing expert technical support to ensure the effective delivery of multi-professional and post graduate dental simulation education.
The post holder will work in partnership with the postgraduate and undergraduate administrative team and actively provide operational support in the running of the Post graduate & Under Graduate centre.
The post holder will contribute to a comprehensive technical support service, providing technical assistance to staff as and when required with the audio-visual and IT equipment.

Dental Training Coordinator - Band 5
An opportunity has arisen for the above post to manage and support Medical & Dental Education Training Programme based at Croydon University Hospital.The post holder will provide administrative and technical and support to a team of dental educational leads, trainees, and dental programme director.The post will suit individuals who are used to and enjoy working in busy, client-facing environments and also those who are able to work autonomously and independently with a well-developed sense of responsibility. A flexible approach is essential for this role to support out of hours' activities as and when required.The post holder will work with an established team of administrators to support the operational activities within the Post Graduate & Undergraduate Medical Centre and work closely with the Medical & Dental Medical Education Manager to deliver a robust Medical and Dental Education framework.This post offers the opportunity to work with medical and dental healthcare professionals and other multidisciplinary staff. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as advanced computer and audio-visual skills.Knowledge and working with dental equipment and simulation manikins is an advantage as would previous time work in a hospital environment or skills Centre.
