Senior Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

This post at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust, is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar.The role is designed for a senior-level registrar who wishes to further consolidate advanced clinical, surgical and leadership skills, with support towards CESR where appropriate.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will:

Participate in the senior registrar on-call rota (third on-call for Obstetrics)

Undertake outpatient clinics and theatre sessions in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Contribute to audit, quality improvement and research activity

Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training

Support service development within the department

Essential

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Has full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • Evidence of good written and verbal communication skills
  • MRCOG Part 1, 2 & 3 (UK) or equivalent

Clinical

  • NHS Registrar level experience
  • Recent clinical experience at junior registrar level or above within Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Shows an understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and corporate risk
