Job summary
We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, motivated, and skilled Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly team, providing family centered care, which is progressive and forward thinking. We have multi-disciplinary clinics Monday-Friday, as well as Nurse Led Clinics.
Children's Outpatients is a very busy department. You will be expected to work as a member of the nursing team working under the supervision and guidance of a registered Children's Nurse to assist with the planned care of children and their families, and work closely with Paediatric Medical Records, Appointments and with our Medical and Nursing multi-disciplinary teams.

Main duties of the job
The Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) is part of the multidisciplinary team delivering care to patients. Support and supervision is provided by a Registered Professional.
The Healthcare Support Worker carries out a range of patient care tasks and duties to enable the team to provide an effective and efficient service within Acute hospital settings.
To achieve this, the Senior HCSW will:
- Competently perform the necessary aspects of care for patients
- Ensure effective delivery of clinical care is provided to patients and that an acceptable standard is maintained
- Follow Trust policies and provide a safe and person-centred environment for the treatment of patients
- Participate in personal and practice development activities to maintain standards of care
