Teledermatology Administrator

Job summary

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual that is passionate about improving patient care and is interested in furthering their administrative career within the NHS.

As the Tele-Dermatology Administrator, you will join a dynamic dermatology team across site to support clinic management and ensuring that our patients receive timely treatment.

The post holder will provide a professional service to all patients and their parents/guardians whilst supporting them throughout their Tele-dermatology pathway of care .

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide administrative support to the Cross-Site Tele-Dermatology and Senior Management Team. Communication is a must between external and internal members of staff as well as the public.

You must enjoy working in a very busy environment and be able to prioritise your own workload. You will need good interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team, be IT literate, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Experience within Dermatology or outpatient Services is essential as well as a good understanding of systems used, although training could be provided for a suitable candidate.

Job responsibilities

To provide administrative support to the team ensuring that there are effective systems and procedures in operation to support the teledermatology process

Ensure patients are moved along the teledermatology pathway in the appropriate timescales.

Collect, collate, analyse and evaluate data and information relating to Teledermatology and submit reports on a monthly basis or as and when required.

Ensure appointment outcomes are actioned in a timely manner.

Book appointments, upload outcome correspondence, cash up clinics on the Trusts patient information system (iCare)

To assist with all aspects of referrals using the eDerma platform as well as ERS.

To respond to email, telephone and written enquiries using a high level of initiative and responding in a confidential and sensitive way and action in the appropriate way.

To provide administrative support for meetings as requested and to ensure follow up action is completed.

Suggest and make recommendations for improvement to existing administration procedures.

Produce/draft documents as required, including reports, narratives, template documents, spreadsheets and presentations using MS Office, ensuring work is of a high quality

To develop and maintain good and effective working relationships with a wide range of people both within the Trust and externally to ensure that communication

and liaison between the departments are effective and information is given and received in a timely manner.
