Junior Clinical Fellow (ST1/2) in Urology - Permanent
The Urology department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic colleague who will support our very busy Urology service.
This is a replacement post and ideal opportunity for a suitably qualified individual looking to develop skills within the Urology department. As post holder you will be playing an integral part in delivering an excellent urology service.
The Junior Clinical Fellow is expected to take part in Medical Audit and Postgraduate Education Programmes, and to play a full part in all the teaching and educational activities of the Medical Directorate, including the teaching of Undergraduate Medical Students.
Staff will be fully involved in planning any future changes to services, which are likely to be made in two to three years time. Main duties of the job
As post holder you will be playing an integral part in delivering an excellent elective service. You will assist in Out Patient/Clinics and Main and Day Case Theatres under the supervision of the Consultant. You will be expected to attend regular ward rounds with the Consultants or other junior medical staff.
The Clinical Fellow is expected to take part in Medical Audit and Postgraduate Education Programmes, and to play a full part in all the teaching and educational activities of the Medical Directorate, including the teaching of Undergraduate Medical Students.
Working under the supervision of allocated Consultants
1:8 non-resident on call rota - General Surgery/Urology
Care of any urology patients
Attend weekly clinical teaching and handover
Participation in any research activities of the department is encouraged

- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- GMC registration and hold a Licence to Practise
