Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join Team LGT in a newly created post as Programme Director for UEC Improvement. As a credible senior leader with significant experience in operational management, urgent and emergency care and programme leadership you would be joining a set of teams delivering two large and complex UEC improvement programmes across each of our sites and boroughs. Reporting into one of our Deputy Chief Operating Officers you would have senior accountability for the strategic and operational delivery of these programmes and matrix manage a team of improvement programme managers from our central Improvement and Transformation Delivery Team.

Main duties of the job
To strategically and operationally lead and oversee the development and delivery of the Trust's Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) operational improvement portfolio of work through the application of significant improvement programme management, operational leadership and analytical experience and expertise. To focus on the delivery of improved patient and staff outcomes including all key performance, flow, quality, safety and finance metrics relating to the UEC improvement portfolio.
To work closely with the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, and with Divisional Triumvirate teams for both QE Medicine and Lewisham Medicine and Community Divisions, as well as with other Divisional Triumvirates, to drive delivery of improvement programmes and other change initiatives that will achieve their overarching divisional goals. To provide subject matter expertise in UEC improvement and to lead the improvement and operational teams in the development of project and delivery plans, standard operating procedures, analytical products and business cases related to the improvement portfolio.
To work closely with the Associate Director - Improvement and Transformation, the Director of Performance and BI, and other Programme Directors to matrix manage an allocated programme team of programme and project managers and analysts to support delivery of the relevant portfolio.
