An opportunity has arisen for a Community Clerk to join one of our well established community midwifery teams, on a secondment, in their deliverance of high quality care to our women/birthing people and their families. You will be supporting the team and providing an efficient and professional support service for both patients and clinicians.
Organisational, administrative and computer skills are essential, as your role involves organising/booking appointments for women/birthing people and methodically organising collection of notes and filing.
The post-holder should also have a good standard of numeracy and literacy, be able to work unsupervised as well as part of a team and be of smart appearance with the ability to work in a pressurised and busy environment.
You will be experienced and provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support within the teams. A flexible approach to working hours, good customer care skills and effective communication skills are essential as you will be required to converse with both clients and staff.
Driving and access to a car are essential as you will be required to travel between the community base and Lewisham.
Main duties of the job
You will provide efficient and effective reception, administration, ward and clerical support to the team and team leader.
The administrator would be part of a community team of midwives and the job role will develop accordingly, including excel spreadsheet data entry and helping with the postnatal discharge summaries.
