Job summary
- The post holder will have responsibility for managing the administrative team
- Provide an administrative support service, which may include secretarial/PA services ensuring that the department operates in an efficient and effective way
- Working closely with the Associate Service Manager in operational management and development of services.
Main duties of the job
- To manage administrative staff including bank staff and be responsible for monitoring the teams work.
- Act independently ensuring that daily tasks and ongoing workloads are prioritised and completed in agreed time frames
- To monitor clinics on a basis to ensure correct utilisation of appointment slots and to liaise with the Associate Service Manager or department staff if clinic appointments are being under -utilised. This will include capacity and demand work and looking at the future planning and utilisation of Outpatient clinics and to inform senior managers if they can see any future problems
- Liaise and support the senior management team to ensure the smooth running of the team.
- Support the routine and timely review and resolution of issues relating to data quality and data completeness. Working with clinicians and senior operational management to ensure records are accurate and support timely data extracts for audit and reporting purposes.
