We are looking for an enthusiastic Maternity Support Worker to play a pivotal role in the delivery of care to our women/birthing people who are looking for support to stop smoking
You will work with the Smokefree pregnancy team to provide individualised smoking cessation support to women and families in a flexible and innovative way.

Main duties of the job
You will work with the Specialist smoke free pregnancy midwife and other team members.
You will provide intermediate smoking cessation support throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period, using the support of interventions such as CO monitoring and Nicotine replacement therapy.
You will work with the specialist midwife for smoking cessation to undertake the smokefree pregnancy reward scheme with the women/birthing people and their families who meet the criteria.
You will also be responsible for the administration of the incentive scheme data collection and collation.
You will be able to work with minimal supervision operating within the assessed level of competence and being accountable for all aspects of your own work.
You will work in close liaison with the local stop smoking services and the consultant midwife.
