We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work in the Voice Therapy Team at University Hospital Lewisham. This is an excellent role to develop and consolidate specialist skills in acquired voice disorders.
The successful candidate will share our commitment to excellence and ensure high standards of evidence based therapy practice. You will have experience of working with adults with voice disorders and will be able to demonstrate established competence in management of adult voice disorders.
This is a static role within the outpatient voice service working closely with the Clinical Lead voice therapist and the wider MDT within the voice clinic, including the laryngeal osteopath, vocal rehabilitation coach and ENT team.
Main duties of the job
Lewisham Voice Services are highly renowned and we have the largest consultant-led voice clinic in the country, the only NHS voice osteopath and vocal rehabilitation coach in the country, as well as a voice therapy team providing high standard services. Our voice caseload is varied which provides both a good challenge and high level of job satisfaction.
We are a large, friendly and innovative department, we work closely with MDTs in our areas and value audit and quality improvement to better refine and develop our services. You will be supported and encouraged to complete and participate in audit, research and quality improvement projects within your post. You will also be supported to develop your voice therapy skills further with an opportunity to shadow both MDT & Therapist-Led voice clinics.
