Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates & Facilities department for an Estates manager PFI & Contracts, Band 8a. The primary role of this post is to provide comprehensive support to the Estates programme Operational Lead & Head of Contracts & Performance in all aspects of the delivery of contract monitoring in relation to Hard FM services, ensuring compliance with contract terms, specifications and Key Performance Indicators. Maintain a programme of monitoring and auditing to evaluate Hard FM performance against two acute hospital PFI maintenance contracts, that dovetail into the Trust reporting frameworks including mandatory returns to NHS Estates and any internal and external requirements.

Main duties of the job

Ensure that resources are deployed effectively and that robust processes are in place to support the provision of efficient, high quality services.

To collate relevant annual returns such as ERIC and PAM

Ensuring staff, patient and public involvement in service monitoring and development, where appropriate.

Support the Director of Estates & Facilities in the development and delivery of the Estates Strategy to support the development and achievement of the Trusts strategic and operational objectives.

Maintain a programme of monitoring and auditing to evaluate Hard FM performance against standards set out in contracts, ensuring that these dovetail into the Trust reporting frameworks including mandatory returns to NHS Estates and any internal requirements.

Ensure contractors are meeting statutory compliance within buildings relating to Asbestos Management, control of Legionella, Electricity at Work, Pressure Vessel Systems. COSHH, Gas Safety (Corgi), DDA, Loler, Puwer, CDM, NHS Health Technical Memorandums and HBN Guidance Documents where applicable and take the appropriate contractual action if not.

To ensure that monitoring takes full account of concerns, complaints, compliments and feedback from services users

Ensure Safeguard reports in relation to the Hard FM contractors are followed up and any agreed action taken.
