Senior Clinical Fellow in Urology

Applications are invited for 1 post: Senior Clinical fellow in Urology at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. This post will be based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolwich but will work across site at University Lewisham Hospital. The trust post is for 12 months in the first instance, subject to renewal after that.

The successful candidates will join an enthusiastic and motivated team, helping to support the future vision and development of the newly repatriated Urology Service.

Main duties of the job

The service already has a successful urology outpatient facility. The role will provide inpatient and day case surgery, outpatient clinics including 2WW clinics and flexible cystoscopy and prostate template biopsy

These posts are an ideal opportunity for suitably qualified individuals looking to develop skills within a Urology department with a specialist interest in continence, prostate cancer, the management of BPH (PVP, bipolar TURP and Urolift) and Urinary Stone management.

The positions will allow the candidates to continue to meet their training and education objectives within their clinical responsibilities. The candidates will spend one day every week at Guy's Hospital to further develop special interest and participate in research projects. The on call rota is 1:6 with prospective cover.

  • Experience in Flexible Cystoscopy and prostate TRUS biopsy and inguinal-scrotal surgery.
  • Able to demonstrate successful participation in audit.
  • Ability to be a flexible team member
