Job summary
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust requires a dynamic and forward thinking substantive Consultant to join the Dermatology team predominantly at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich (QEH) site. The vacancy is for a full time Consultant, but applications from those wishing to work less than full time are welcome. The post includes clinics in a newly established Community Dermatology Service based at centres in Bexley and Greenwich. In addition at QEH there will be clinics in adult/paediatric general Dermatology and skin cancer as well as skin surgery lists.
Main duties of the job
- Provide high quality Dermatology care in out-patient clinics and perform high quality surgery within the appropriate level of
- Attend required MDT and CPD events
- Perform regular ward rounds with clinical There is no out of hours on call commitment but the Dermatology team are closely involved in the care of in-patients where needed.

The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust was created in 2013 from a merger of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with University Hospital Lewisham, as part of a reconfiguration of services in South East London. The QEH Dermatology department is a busy but friendly and supportive environment. The team are dedicated to providing the highest standards of patient care. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of nine Consultants within the Dermatology service, as well as 3 Fellows (one in a joint CESR training post with GSTT), General Practitioners with Extended Roles (GPWERs), Clinical Nurse Specialists as well as a developed admin team. The workplace is modern and well equipped, with a dedicated outpatient theatre suite, as well as a phototherapy unit undergoing refurbishment.
