Trust Doctor Clinical Fellow (ST1/2 Level) in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
Applications are invited for a full time Clinical Fellow Paediatrician based in the Paediatric Emergency Department at University Hospital Lewisham. These posts also involve overnight shifts and late shifts.
The post would be suitable for a Paediatric Trainee SHO level and above, or an Emergency Medicine trainee with a minimum of 6 months experience working in a Paediatric A&E Department. The successful individual will be contracted from 04 September 2023 to 03 March 2024 with the possibility of a contract extension thereafter, within Paediatrics .
Main duties of the job
These posts are an ideal opportunity for a suitably qualified individual looking to develop skills within a busy paediatric emergency medicine department. The positions will also allow the candidate to continue to meet their training and education objectives within their clinical responsibilities.
The candidate would take part in the Paediatric A&E rota.

Paediatric Surgery Specialist registrars (Honorary from Evelina)
Other Paediatric ST4+, SpRs and middle-grade staff from other specialties ( ENT, orthopaedics) in the Trust and Hospital
Key tasks:
To share with SpRs responsibility for the day to day running of the dedicated Paediatric Emergency department
To perform Out-patient clinics with consultant supervision ( If an interest is declared)
To continue with developing skills
To continue training and Educational Objectives
Participate in safeguarding meetings and simulation training.

- MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications
- Full current GMC registration

- Evidence of participation in teaching and audit
- Appropriate level of knowledge in Medicine
- Abillity to use Library and Databases
