Main duties of the job
- HIV appointment clinics
- HIV emergency clinics
- HIV in-patient work
- Support HIV research portfolio, recruitment to trials etc.
- Full participation in clinical audit and weekly clinical educational meetings is encouraged and supported.
The post holder is expected to perform all administrative duties appropriate to the post and when required, within the time limits specified by the Trust
The post holder will be allocated a clinical supervisor whom they will be expected to undertake regular assessments and appraisals.

CLINICAL FELLOW IN HIV
Applications are invited for a fixed term Clinical Fellow in HIV at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The post is based at the Alexis Clinic, University Hospital Lewisham. The appointee will join a friendly and active department and will be provided fully supervised training. The post will be available from August 2023 for 4 months.
This is an ideal post for a doctor considering a career in GUM / Infectious Diseases / General Practice wishing to gain further experience and skills in the specialty prior to obtaining a training position or Specialty position; or an experienced clinician looking to further develop their skills. You will work closely with an extended multidisciplinary team with expertise in all areas of HIV.
The post will involve assessment and clinical care of patients living with HIV. There are no on-call or weekend commitments.
The department is actively involved in audit and research. The post holder will be expected to be involved and will be supported to undertake audit, research, and quality improvement projects. Clinical Fellows are eligible for study leave with a supporting budget to accommodate CPD.
