About us
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team at the start of a newly awarded 10-year contract for the South East Genomic Medicine Service (GMS).
Part of the national NHS Genomic Medicine Service--bringing together seven GMS regions and 17 regional clinical genetics services--the South East GMS covers South London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. We deliver standardised genomic testing pathways aligned to the National Genomic Test Directory and support the integration of genomic medicine into routine care.
Our mission is to reduce unwarranted variation and improve patient outcomes by ensuring clinical care fully benefits from advances in genomics. We play a key role in driving collaboration across specialties and providing clinical leadership to enable a multi-professional workforce to use genomics safely, effectively and efficiently.
We are committed to addressing health inequalities caused by historically unequal access to genomic services. This includes building a diverse team that reflects our communities, strengthening links with primary care, and ensuring strong patient representation across our work.
