Job summary

We are looking for a motivated, inspirational and exceptional leader to join our large, friendly, paediatric audiology team.

This is a split role with approximately 50% of clinical and 50% managerial responsibilities. You will work alongside the other Principal Audiologistsin providing the daily operational leadership of the service. You will be expected to both deliver and support junior colleagues with a range ofpaediatric assessments and (re)habilitation from birth through to transition. Managerial responsibilities will include line management, serviceevaluation and improvement and quality assurance as well as day to day leadership support.

Main duties of the job

As a Principal Audiologist you will be a senior member of a team, providing a comprehensive and effective paediatric audiology service forchildren referred from South-East London and beyond.

The post-holder will take an important clinical role in all functions of the Service, with responsibility for the skilled performance of a wide range of complex audiological work under the overall direction of the Clinical Lead and Head of the Service. You will be responsible for trainingand supporting junior colleagues and students and in the absence of the Head of Service and the Clinical Lead you will be expected to takeoverall clinical responsibility for the Service.

The post holder will actively contribute to the development of the Service as a centre of excellence by taking lead responsibility for one or moreclinical functions of the Service. You will be responsible for carrying out service improvement and research projects as well as contributing toquality assurance and audit.

As a Principal Audiologist you will be responsible for line managing clinical staff and supporting their clinical and professional development
