Senior Clinical Fellow in Asthma

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a full-time clinical fellowship within the asthma & eosinophilic lung diseases service at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Trust. The successful applicant will be at ST5 level or above and join an internationally recognised, research-active multi-disciplinary team of clinicians caring for the largest cohort of patients with severe asthma and eosinophilic lung diseases in the UK.

Applicants will hold Specialist Registrar status within GSTT and should hold MRCP and have reached at least ST5 (or post-CCT) in respiratory medicine.

2x Clinical Fellow posts are based in the Respiratory Medicine Department within HLCC and 1x Clinical Fellow post is based in the Research Department within HLCC.

Main duties of the job

The fellowship will offer a balance of clinical training in the management of severe asthma, EGPA, ABPA, eosinophilic pneumonia and eosinophilic COPD, alongside active participation in clinical trials and translational research within King's Centre for Lung Health, based at Guy's Hospital. This post is initially offered for 1 year, but there may be the opportunity to extend this for a further 1 or 2 years in order to undertake an MD or PhD through King's College London.
