The Health Innovation Network (HIN) South London is seeking an Evaluation Manager to join the Insights team. This role will support health and care organisations to deliver positive change through innovation by designing and delivering large, complex mixed-methods evaluations for locally and nationally commissioned programmes.
Hosted by Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, HIN staff benefit from NHS employment while focusing on innovation that improves outcomes for patients and staff across the health and care system.
HIN South London supports the spread and adoption of innovation in health and social care. It is an award-winning organisation offering a collaborative and supportive working environment. The successful candidate will manage key projects, working with partners across south London. We are seeking someone with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong track record of delivering real-world evaluation projects in health and/or social care.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who:
- Leads the design, delivery, and project management of high-quality real-world evaluations.
- Leads the data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of a range of data types (i.e., qualitative, quantitative).
- Produces high quality evaluation reports.
- Communicates and disseminates evaluation report findings, including the development of promotional materials, promotion of evaluation findings, enabling shared learning to contribute to the further implementation of programmes/innovations/services and good practice.
- Provides expert advice to colleagues in the HIN and member organisations (e.g., ICBs, NHS Trusts) on the methodology of evaluating the impact of health innovations. This will involve communicating highly complex information to people both with and without specialist knowledge in evaluation.
- Develops and delivers specialist training sessions, resources, and tools on evaluation to build the capacity and capability of colleagues.
- Liaise with and manage key strategic relationships with external commissioners and stakeholders (e.g., ICBs, NHS Trusts, clinicians, senior managers)
