Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as a member of the Private Patient team and play a significant part in the ongoing development of this new facility. Our clinic's weekday working hours run from 8am to 8pm, with varing shift patterns.
All Wimpole Street staff rotate to the Royal Brompton site. This rotation is mandatory, as it provides exposure across multiple sites and helps consolidate echocardiography skills.
The post holder will perform a range of echo examinations. The role offers applicants the opportunity to remain up-to-date with new developments and trends in 3D echocardiography, stress echocardiography, contrast studies, and strain imaging.
The post holder is expected to work as an effective and responsible practitioner, supporting others and the wider team, in a flexible and approachable manner.

Job responsibilities
To independently perform adult transthoracic Echocardiograms in accordance with the departmental protocol.
Write comprehensive clinical reports in a timely manner and escalate any new findings for clinical review.
Manage own CPD including BSE accreditation
Establish and maintain good working relationships with all members of the organisation.
Maintain patient confidentiality in line with the Trust policies.
Actively participate in MDT meetings
Ensure that all equipment is in working order and promptly report faults without delay.
Evaluate and assess new equipment prior to purchase in collaboration with the Echo lead.
Have an awareness of the health and safety implications for Echocardiographers in relation to ergonomics whilst scanning and take all necessary steps to minimise injury to oneself.
