Senior Employee Relations Advisor

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Employee Relations Team for a Senior Employee Relations Advisor. This role primarily supports managers by providing an expert corporate relations advisory service to Trust managers, modelled extensively around e-access and e-tools, that ensures the Trust becomes and remains an employer and provider of choice. You will provide expert employee relations advice to managers and provide timely and effective interpretation of developing employment law and HR policy and procedures.

Previous experience of employee relations is essential and you should have experience of advising managers.

Main duties of the job

To act as the focal point for managers on all employee relations matters. Providing detailed advice and guidance to managers on the interpretation of Trust policies and procedures and employment legislation. Advise on all employee relations cases, i.e. Disciplinary, Grievance, Capability and Sickness.

Work autonomously, manage a high case load of Disciplinary, Performance, Grievance and complex sickness absence cases, plus any other relevant employee relations case work as determined by the Employment Relations Manager and/or Deputy Head of Employee Relations.

To support the Employee Relations helpline rota and take calls and e-mails to advise line managers on a range of employee relations queries.

About us

You will work alongside Deputy Head of Employee Relations, Employee Relations Manager and Employee Relations Advisors and other Senior Employee Relations Advisor colleagues, providing guidance and cross cover to one another when required.

The Employee Relations team is based at offices on Great Dover Street, near the Guy's Hospital Site. We support hybrid working arrangements with a combination of home and on-site working. There is a requirement to work on-site two days per week.

You will be working as part of an experienced and supportive team who will be able to offer guidance and share learning to support you in the next step of your HR career and continuing professional development.
