Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust

Programme Director

The closing date is 30 December 2025

Job summary

The Children's Hospital Programme (CHP) has been established to ensure that Evelina London continues to deliver the Trust's ambition to be a provider of a comprehensive range of children's services to south east London and beyond. Huge progress has been made over the past decade, with new services set up, many existing services extended to ensure full 24/7 cover and a wide range of new clinical and research facilities opened.

Building on the Guy's and St Thomas' Trust merger with the Royal Brompton and Harefield Trust in 2021, as well as NHS England's decision for the Evelina London to provide very specialist cancer services through the Children's Cancer Principal Treatment Centre, the Children's Hospital Programme will be instrumental in in in integrating and growing specialist services driven by national clinical standards and the growing volume and complexity of children's needs. This includes co-locating congenital heart disease and cancer services with other specialist services for children. Recognising the general growth of demand for children's clinical services and the increasing specialisations required, the CHP will be one of service development, reconfiguration and transformation across our hospital sites, with significant enabling capital investments.

The CHP has been established as a Major Programme within the Trust, and involves substantial transformational change and capital investment. The programme is currently preparing to deliver a Business Case in 2026.
