(Two Part Time Fixed Term 12 months post 2 PA)
Restorative Dentistry is seeking two fixed term part time (2PA) Specialty Dentist to join a dynamic, enthusiastic and forward-thinking team. The department is currently involved in many exciting initiatives and are looking for an individual(s) with appropriate skills to complement this team and help keep the service in the forefront of clinical and academic excellence.
The post holders will be expected to show drive and initiative towards patient care putting the patient first. They should have significant experience in the provision of mandibular advancement devices for the management of obstructive sleep apnoea. They will be based within the Restorative dental services, and will work as part of the dental sleep service team. They will: run a weekly telephone clinic on site for new patients referred from the Medical Sleep Service for mandibular advancement devices; provide treatment for this interesting patient group and they may also be involved in the supervision of DCTs and clinical nurse specialists. There is a drive to work towards more use of digital technology and the post holder would be expected to be involved in development of this service, as well as closer working with the Medical Sleep Service.

Be dentally qualified
Have experience in providing mandibular advancement sleep devices
Develop and maintain the competencies required to carry out the duties required of the post.
Ensure prompt attendance at agreed direct clinical care Programmed Activities.
Ensure patients are involved in decisions about their care and to respond to their views.
