As an Assistant Delivery Manager, you will be right at the heart of our improvement journey. You will be at the forefront of building vibrant, frontline-led improvement communities across the Trust. You'll be the connector--bringing people together, energising collaboration and curating a dynamic hub of high-impact improvement projects. You'll also play a key role in managing training programmes to build and spread improvement capability across the organisation--empowering teams to lead change with confidence and skill.

We're recruiting two new fixed term/secondment roles to support the goals of Improving Together and our culture to thrive. The Improving Together team work collaboratively with a focus on reflection to adapt our approach, creating a supportive team environment.

The interview will follow an assessment centre format, including a series of exercises and a traditional interview. The full process will take approximately three hours with interview dates to be confirmed.

Main duties of the job

  • Drive Improvement: Co-design and implement initiatives with senior leaders and teams to embed continuous improvement across services and culture.
  • Coach & Facilitate: Provide expert support to multidisciplinary teams to deliver measurable improvement outcomes.
  • Digital Enablement: Support digital strategies and maintain accurate records of improvement activities and training, events and engagement activities and projects.
  • Build Capability: Deliver and evolve training programmes, mentoring and peer coaching to grow improvement confidence.
  • Data for Impact: Guide teams on using data effectively to track progress and demonstrate benefits.
  • Communicate Success:Help teams showcase their improvement work through engaging stories, visuals and materials.
  • Inclusive Engagement: Champion co-production, storytelling and knowledge sharing to promote learning and best practice.
  • Culture Leadership: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, psychological safety and staff empowerment aligned with Trust values.

The Improving Together team is part of the Centre for Innovation, Transformation, and Improvement (CITI) at Guy's and St Thomas', established in 2021 under the Deputy Chief Executive. CITI drives the Trust's innovation and improvement strategy, fostering a culture of innovation across clinical and operational areas. It supports the development and implementation of new ideas, technologies, and practices to enhance patient care, research, and education.

CITI provides a collaborative space for clinical innovators and uses data-driven methods to evaluate and scale improvements. It prioritizes equality, inclusion, and sustainability, with strong patient and public engagement shaping its work. The Centre also builds partnerships with academia, industry, and communities to accelerate impactful change.
