Job summary
Applications are invited for this fixed term 12-month appointment suitable for Dermatologists seeking to develop an interest in medical education and acquire specialist training in complex medical dermatology, commencing 1st February 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to both develop an interest in medical education and receive supra-specialist training in complex medical dermatology. The post holder will join a first class, multi-disciplinary team in an active and progressive central London teaching hospital environment. This post will comprise of 50:50 education and clinical time.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have a unique opportunity to develop as a medical educationist as part of the St. John's DermAcademy. As a senior clinical fellow within highly specialised medical dermatology, the post holder will play a central role in further development and delivery of medical education at St John's Institute of Dermatology and receive supra-specialist training in the management of adult severe inflammatory skin disease and associated complex immune-mediated therapies.

You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold a License to Practice. The post is ideally suited to applicants who have obtained their CCT or within 12 months of attaining it but consideration will be given to other applicants demonstrating a specific interest in the subspecialty.
The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable adults and/or children (0-18 years) and therefore this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Criminal Records Bureau to check for any previous criminal convictions.
