Job summary

An exciting 12 month fixed term opportunity has arisen for a highly driven and motivated individual to become part of the Medical Workforce department at one of thelargest and most prestigious NHS organisations.

The post holder will be based in the Medical HR Team, and will provide specialist expert advice for Doctors, Consultants and Dentists on pay,contracts and HR policies.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for processing all transactional HR changes for this staff group, including terminations, hours changes andfixed term contract extensions.

The post holder will also be responsible for completing ID checks as necessary, in addition to attending the monthly Junior Doctor Induction daywith the Medical HR Team.

Qualifications/ Education

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent including English and Mathematics
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in customer service or administration

Professional/ Statutory Registration

Desirable

  • Certificate in Personnel Practice level or an equivalent HR qualification
  • Studying towards a Certificate in Personnel Practice level or an equivalent HR qualification

Previous experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in an office environment or experience working in an admin support role

Desirable

  • Experience working in a HR environment
  • Previous Medical Staffing experience

Skills/ Knowledge/Ability

Essential

  • Able to work with staff and managers
  • Able to plan and organise workload
  • Able to work on own initiative and effectively prioritise
  • Good attention to detail and able to use Word, Excel, Access programmes
  • Able to deal with difficult people

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Medical & Dental terms and conditions of employment policies and procedures and statutory guidance
