Job summary
Esther ward is a dynamic Surgical Oncology ward, which primarily provides care to those patients undergoing Ear, nose and throat surgery or thoracic surgery as part of their cancer treatment. We also regularly provide care to haematology and oncology outlying patients, which exposes the staff to a diverse range of nursing experiences, challenges and training opportunities, such as altered airway patients- with tracheotomy/ laryngectomy, thoracic training with chest pain management, high flow oxygen therapy and acute pain management to name but a few. The ward is enriched with a strong MDT approach to providing holistic individualised care for each patient.
