Job summary
Exciting Opportunity for a Specialist Head & Neck Oncology Dietitian!
We are pleased to be able to offer a permanent Band 7 position in our highly specialist Head & Neck Oncology Dietetic Teamat Guy's Hospital.
You will be joining a dynamic, well-established team of 6 specialist dietitians and an advanced dietetic assistant based in the Cancer Centre at Guy's Hospital, and working alongside a further 3 specialist dietitians in the Community Head and Neck Team (CHANT).
Main duties of the job
This role is based at Guy's Hospital, where you will work with patients throughout their cancer journey--from initial diagnosis and treatment (surgical and/or oncological) through to rehabilitation, survivorship, and palliative care. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team where dietetic input is valued and contributes to truly holistic patient care. The role also includes participation in 8am ward rounds and MDT meetings, on a shared rota with fellow dietitians.
Beyond your clinical expertise, you will play a key leadership role: supervising junior colleagues and contributing to service improvements which advance best practice in head and neck oncology nutrition.
About us
The dietetic team is a valued part of the head and neck oncology MDT, actively involved in audit and service development to maintain a high-quality, patient-centred service. As such, we are seeking a motivated dietitian with strong teamwork skills to join our supportive and forward-thinking team.
