Job summary
This post offers the exciting opportunity for focused subspeciality experience in adult cystic fibrosis (CF) and lung transplantation in world-renowned specialist centres. It is funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust as part of their Clinical Training Senior Fellowship Programme. The post is a combined CF-transplant fellowship working with the Adult CF Team at Royal Brompton Hospital and Lung Transplant Team at Harefield Hospital, encompassing all aspects of CF care, but with an important focus on post-transplant care.
Main duties of the job
The appointed trainee will work between the CF and transplant centre, attending clinics and multi-disciplinary team meetings (particularly cross-site CF-transplant team meetings). In addition to developing expertise and knowledge in the clinical aspects of CF and CF transplant care, an important part of this role will be to develop senior skills for preparing for consultant posts, and integral to the fellowship, will be the completion of a research/quality improvement project focusing on post transplant CF care.
