About us
The Evelina London Children's Hospital is a purpose-built Children's hospital opened in 2005, bringing together existing Children's services at St Thomas' and Guy's Hospitals onto one site. This enables ELCH to provide dedicated children's services and develop its own distinct identity whilst enjoying the support and shared assets of a very large, well- resourced trust.
As part of King's Health Partners, ELCH is now one of the UK's Academic Health Sciences Centres, aiming to bring together world class teaching, research and clinical services. Paediatric services currently based at the Royal Brompton Hospital are due to move to the St Thomas's site following the merger with the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals in 2021. We look forward to the arrival of the Royal Marsden Children and Young Person's Unit in the autumn of 2026
