Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health trained (nurse SCPHN qualified) to manage the delivery of all clinical aspects of the Occupational Health Service:
Provide strong professional and clinical leadership to the nursing teams working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality standards of care, clinical governance, effectiveness and delivering on key national and local performance targets in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and resource constraints
Maximise productivity within the teams using effective models to increase efficiency
Deputise for the Head of Nursing/ Deputy General Manager (HON/DGM) when appropriate

- Occupational Health qualification at degree level or equivalent
- Portfolio of evidence demonstrating comprehensive understanding of relevant clinical area to include management and leadership
- Parts 1 and 3 of the NMC register

- Post graduate management qualification
Previous experience
Essential
- A proven track record of operational service management at a senior level in an NHS OH service, including staff management
- Previous success in leading and delivering change and performance with and through clinical teams
- Ability to analyse complex problems and to develop and successfully implement practical and workable solutions to address them
- Ability to think and plan strategically, tactically and creatively, and to prioritise
Desirable
- Experience in financial management and change management.
