Senior Podiatrist - Acute Specialist

Job summary

We are looking for Band 6 Podiatrists to join our growing dynamic team at Guys & St. Thomas' Hospital. These posts are hospital based at Guys, St Thomas' and Queen Mary's Hospital (Sidcup).

The post will involve wound care management and treatment of the high risk foot. The suitable candidate should be self-motivated and have a broad range of post-graduate clinical experience.

Patient care takes place in both out and in-patient setting.

You will be working within a team and must have good communication skills.

There will be supervision and mentoring from colleagues for continual CPD. In addition regular team meeting updates on Department and Trust positions.

Main duties of the job

Candidate will be managing a high risk caseload and working closely within a multi disciplinary team and using a range of advanced wound techniques in both in-patient and out-patients settings. There will be a 2 day rotational element for treating MSK patients

Candidate must be highly motivated and and should be able to cope with clinical emergencies in a pressurised environment.

You will be supervising junior staff and be involved in teaching, taking part in audit / research

The successfully candidate is required to be able to demonstrate Trust Valves, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification
