Oncology at Guy's and St Thomas' has entered a new and exciting phase with a state of the art Cancer Treatment Centre (CTC) at Guy's Hospital which opened in September 2016. The CTC provides a single point for both diagnosis and treatment and will be the hub for South East London providing specialist cancer services, training, research & development whilst allowing for better treatment and improved outcomes for patients. The CTC focusses on whole person care across the cancer pathway and strive to bring treatment programmes closer to home. The opening of the new £160 million CTC at Guy's Hospital was followed by a sister centre at the Queen Mary's Sidcup site in Spring 2017. These centres will transform the delivery of cancer services across South East London ensuring patients will receive the right treatment at the right time, delivered within fewer visits and tailored to their need.
