Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust
This job is now closed
Job summary
This is an innovative post rotating through clinical departments giving a broad exposure to medicine mirroring the Internal Medicine Training Programme.
The post is a standalone one-year post of 3 clinical rotations in internal medicine and is structured and administered as per the internal medicine stage 1 training programme to allow full or partial sign off via the alternate certificate to enter group 1 or group 2 specialty training. At present an 'IMT3 equivalent year' cannot be guaranteed but may be possible depending on local availability of posts.
The posts rotate through a combination of 3 posts per 12 months of the programme:
- Internal Medicine (4 months)
- Acute internal medicine (4 months)
- Intensive care medicine (4 months)
- Nephrology (4 months)
- Geriatric medicine (hospital at home) (4 months)
- Stroke medicine (4 months)
- Cardiology (4 months)
