Main duties of the job
Applications are invited for appointment to a Simulation Fellow within Medical Education. This unique post offers an exciting opportunity for Medical Trainees to develop their experience and skills as medical educators within simulation based education working closely with the Medical Education Department. The fellowship consists of an out of programme experience for a period of 12 months attached to the Simulation and Interactive Learning (SaIL) Centre within Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT). The post offers the opportunity to commence in August 2024, for one year with an option to extend subject to review.
SaIL has a robust heritage of fellowships alongside development of courses and simulation-based interventions for staff delivering care to the wide array of patients seen within the trust. We provide training and support across all professions within GSTT, including medical trainees, nursing, and allied healthcare, to promote safe and effective patient care. We provide point of care simulation, centre-based simulation and clinical skills training to help directorate specialties deliver their own simulation based education delivery plans.
