Full Time - Fixed Term - 1 year

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding enthusiastic team.

The holder of the post will gain a wide range of education experiences - postgraduate, undergraduate and multi professional. The candidate will work with the Director Education & Workforce, Undergraduate leads and departmental leads for training and education to develop and run a number of innovative medical education initiatives to support junior doctors, medical students and allied health professionals across the trust. There is also an opportunity to complete a fully funded the King PG cert in Medical education alongside the fellowship.

Main duties of the job

The posts are offered as a Fellowships in Medical Education for a period of one year. There are potentially two posts available. If you are currently on a training program, an application for an OOPE will need to be made.

Registrar level ST3+ - 2 posts:The post is divided into two parts. 50% of the time the post holder will be expected to focus on educational work, liaising with teams, developing programmes and delivering teaching. The other 50% the post holder is required to work a full on call system delivering clinical care at registrar level in a department which is aligned to their training interests and level. There are potentially two posts available: one will be based clinically in Complex General Paediatrics, working at registrar level, for the second the speciality is yet to be decided and we have previously been able to align the clinical department with the individual request of the training. Previous departments hosting the education fellow have been Neonatology, Paediatric Emergency Dept, Paediatric Surgery and Paediatric Neuro-disability.
