Job summary
We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated Band 6 clinical pharmacists to join our trust bank team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
You will be working on wards alongside various clinical teams ward to assist in the delivery of a comprehensive pharmacy service and to provide operational support to the department. This role may involve contributing to our out-of-hours service working in the evenings and on weekends.
Applicants selected for interview will have the choice or a face-to-face interview or virtual interview via MS Teams. Applicants will not be advantaged or disadvantaged based on the interview method they choose.
Main duties of the job
To assist in the delivery of a comprehensive pharmacy service and to provide operational support to the department. This includes ward-based clinical pharmacy services, working to specific clinical objectives depending on the focus of the service and patient cohort, with the possibility of contributing to the out-of-hours service in the evenings or at weekends.

Essential
- Masters Degree in Pharmacy
- Registration with the GPhC as a pharmacist
- Working towards Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice
- Demonstrates good clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning and judgement
Desirable
- Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
Experience
Essential
- A minimum of 6 months post registration experience in clinical pharmacy practice
- Reflects on own practice and makes changes as necessary.
- Has undertaken research/audit and recommended changes in practice according to the findings.
- Assists in maintaining own and others health safety and security
- Self-motivated; regularly reviews and identifies own development needs and actively seeks training opportunities
- Demonstrates commitment and ability to develop own knowledge, skills and quality of work in line with local and national standards.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats to prescribers, clinicians, patients and their carers
