Job summary
We are looking for an experienced nurse to lead the highly specialised team of Colorectal Advance Nurse Practitioners supporting our colorectal patients within Gastrointestinal Medicine and Surgery (GMS). The post holder will be a member of a larger well-established MDT within Guy's & St Thomas Hospital, London.
Applicants must be an experienced registered nurses and have practiced at a minimum band 7 post or above. We are looking for someone who has extensive experience in looking after people with Lower Gastrointestinal problem. They must be able to demonstrate team leadership, resilience and determination. They should seek to lead new practice and service redesign solutions in response to feedback, evaluation and need, working across boundaries and broadening sphere of influence.
The post holder will be required to engage key stakeholders and influence the development and improvement of practice, patient care and service delivery.

The Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) is an experienced registered nurse with specialist skills to assess and treat patients and manage the clinical environment, in liaison with the management and consultant team. The Lead ANP will manage a team of 4 Senior Colorectal Nurses Specialist that demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service, providing specialist advice, education and support to the team of junior nurses and health care professionals, and patients. The Lead ANP will actively undertake clinical audits within the specialist area.
