Job summary
We are one of the largest cardiac MRI scanning centres in the UK. Our Imaging Clinical Research Facility is based in our St Thomas Hospital campus with strong research collaboration focusing on the development of novel acquisition, reconstruction and motion correction using different field strength MRI scanners. The facility is run by King's College London, the University partner in close partnership with Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Clinical services are delivered to approximately 13,000 patients a year (Cardiac MRI,Perinatal MRIand thePET Centre), and were recently re-accredited in accordance with theQuality Standard for Imaging (QSI) 2021
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Cardiac MRI Radiographer to join our nationally accredited clinical research imaging team. The department supports and mentors Radiographers in their personal and professional development including actively encouraging staff to attend high profile national and international seminars, conferences, presenting posters, abstracts and presentations.
We have a reputation for clinical excellence and high quality teaching and research. We are part of King's Health Partners, one of eight accredited UK academic health sciences centres. In partnership with King's College London we have dedicated clinical research facilities and a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre.
Main duties of the job
The main purpose of this post is to participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team within our Cardiovascular Imaging Department to deliver an efficient, effective and timely Cardiac MRI service, supporting a strong portfolio Clinical Research Imaging programmes run by the Imaging Clinical Research Facility.
The successful candidate will work with clinicians, researchers and biomedical engineers whilst performing excellent quality imaging studies in accordance with the departmental protocols.
