Job summary

In partnership with members of the multidisciplinary team the post holder will develop, implement and evaluate a seamless specialist trial without catheter (TWOC) service focusing on the development of a self TWOC service, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of clinical care. The role will primarily focus on and assist patients' through the self TWOC process. They will provide specialist advice, education and support to health care professionals and patients. The post holder will actively undertake clinical audits and assist with research within the specialist area.

GSTT is an award winning urological centre receiving referrals from South East London as well as across SE England and beyond. We are looking for a nurse who has an interest in developing their CNS skills or extending their current portfolio of skills and abilities. You need to be able to prioritise your workload and assist us in meeting NHS waiting time and targets whilst keeping patient experience at the heart of their treatment journey.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for contributing to the ongoing development of clinical practice, research and standards of care within the Trial without catheter service, including development of policies, protocols and guidelines and contribute to service developments in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues. Alsoensuring the safety and well being of services users, and always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of person centered care principles.

This is a part time, 18 month fixed term Trial without catheter clinical nurse specialist post working at Guys and St Thomass.
