Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and enthusiastic person to join our team of Band 6 radiographers at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The post is based at Harefield Hospital

As a Band 6 radiographer you will enhance your current skills and be required to develop further skills in CT and Cardiac Catheter Labs whilst also gaining valuable experience in supervision and leadership.

The Radiology Department runs a 24/7 service and operates an out of hours system wherein radiographers are contracted to work out of hours shifts at night, on weekends and bank holidays.

About us

The role is rotational between General Imaging, CT scanning and Cardiac Catheter Labs

Four X-ray rooms have dedicated angiography equipment, a Toshiba Infinix, Siemens Q.zen, Philips Allura and a Philips biplane flat plate. The work in the department mainly relates to cardiothoracic imaging. Limited GP work is also undertaken using a Philips DR unit and a Philips fluoroscopy room. There are 7 mobile x-ray units for use in the intensive care, recovery units and other wards.

There is a mobile image intensifier mainly used for thoracic theatre cases.

There are 2 CT scanners, and 2 MRI scanners an ultrasound and nuclear medicine service.
