Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic administrator and events coordinator to join the dermatology team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of innovative educational events and resources, which provide high quality dermatology medical education to varied healthcare professionals nationwide. The post holder will have a key role in the administration of the St John's diploma.

Main duties of the job

The project administrator would be expected to manage the day-to-day running of the Diploma under the supervision of Dr Amr Salam, Consultant Dermatologist. Responsibilities are listed below, but would ultimately be dynamic and adapt to the needs of the qualification as it continues to grow and evolve. The main responsibilities will centre around being the point of contact for learners from all over the world enrolled on the qualification, and managing the learning management system (LMS) used to deliver the online educational content. There will be some responsibilities around managing the educational content, website and social media profiles, we well as executing basic financial transactions.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent working experience

Desirable

  • ECDL computer qualification or equivalent experience.

Previous Experience

  • Previous experience of working within an administration function ideally within projects in a complex organisation such as the NHS or projects related to education delivery

Desirable

  • Previous experience of managing digital platforms such as websites, social media, and online education platforms.
  • Experience in managing learners in the broadest sense, including international learners

Skills

Essential

  • High level of administrative, secretarial and communication skills (both written and verbal), including evidence of satisfactory performance of administrative/ secretarial functions and preferably project support. This will include experience and ability to produce effective minutes, collating papers and reports and communicating information.
  • Self-starter, ability to use initiative, work independently, confidentially and to handle sensitive issues accordingly.
